Editorial Policy
The Kioto Gaming blog is written for people making production decisions. An article should help a producer, founder, publisher or discipline lead evaluate a scope, ask better questions or prepare a cleaner hand-off.
What we publish
We cover game production, co-development, outsourcing, budgets, team design, art pipelines, QA, porting and publisher preparation. We do not publish invented client stories, unnamed awards, confidential project details or capability claims that cannot be checked.
Research and sourcing
Writers prefer primary sources for platform rules, technical documentation and public company information. A source link should support the sentence beside it. Estimates are shown as ranges with assumptions because a headline price or schedule rarely survives contact with an actual build.
When an article contains interpretation, the wording should make that clear. Current platform requirements, prices and program rules need a fresh check before publication or a dated qualification in the article.
Review and authorship
Articles are published by the Kioto Gaming production desk until named authors and reviewer credentials can be verified. A review checks factual claims, source fit, search intent, readability, internal links, image descriptions and whether the advice matches the stated audience.
Illustrations and project evidence
Editorial photographs on this site are illustrative scenes made for the article. Captions identify them as representative settings. They are not proof of a client engagement, shipped title, office location or named team member.
Corrections and updates
Material corrections should change the article and its reviewed date. Small spelling or layout fixes may be made without a correction note. If a factual error affects a production decision, we add a plain correction note near the relevant passage.
Send a correction to support@kiotogaming.com with the article URL, the disputed sentence and a source or explanation. We review specific evidence, not requests to remove fair criticism or useful context.
Commercial content
Paid placement, affiliate relationships or sponsored research must be labelled where a reader will see the label before relying on the content. The current editorial library contains no paid placements or affiliate links.
